Kate Jenkins
MM (University of Georgia), BM (Ithaca College)
Kate Jenkins received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, and her Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance from the University of Georgia. Kate has performed with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, the Augusta Symphony Orchestra, the South Carolina Philharmonic, the Lyra Vivace Chamber Orchestra, and was a member of the King’s Brass, Eurobrass, Crescent Brass, and the Garden City Bones. Kate previously served as the low brass instructor at Charleston Southern University, Brevard College, and Augusta University and currently maintains an active low brass studio of middle and high school students in the Augusta, GA area. Kate is originally from Vermont and now lives in North Augusta, SC, with her husband Todd, a college band director, their son Will, a French horn player, and various animals, including two dogs and a 20-year-old cat.
